WHAT TO WEAR

A simple guide to your session

The most important thing during your session is staying true to you.

Therefore, if your style is barefoot and blue jeans, then don't go out and buy fancy clothes that you're only going to wear once. After years of photographing couples in various settings, this is is what I found that captures well in photographs.

Any further questions, please reach out. I'm happy to help!

KEEP IT NATURAL

Don't overdo it with hair and makeup, less is better. Earth tones and neutrals shoot best in photos. Try to avoid loud and bold patterns. Bright pinks and oranges can change skin tones and overall clash with the environment so it's best to avoid those.

CONSIDER THE LOCATION

Ask yourself, does what I'm wearing make sense for the location? For example, beaches and fields are best for barefoot, cozy layers for the cooler seasons. Keep in mind, that the most important thing is to be comfortable in your own style.

MOVEMENT

During your session, there will be lots of movement. It won't be the awkward, half smiles or cheesy poses. Being comfortable is key. Clothing that catches the wind can make for some really nice photos such as a flowy skirt or dress.

YOUR STORY

If it's something you both love that'll help bring meaning into your story, then I'm all for it. This can be your favourite cafe, your pups, camp fire/guitar jams, milkshakes at the beach etc
